// about

Engineering with curiosity, teaching with purpose.

I’m a Systems and Computer Science Engineer from the University of Antioquia with five years building GenAI systems and the production infrastructure underneath them. My work sits where artificial intelligence meets cloud architecture and reliability engineering: LLM platforms, MLOps pipelines and Kubernetes, in production rather than in notebooks.

That has meant leading the AI infrastructure behind a team running more than 15 GenAI products, cutting a cloud bill by 30%, shipping a legal RAG platform whose agents read over 10,000 judicial decisions, and training a Colombian Sign Language translation model to a 91.17% F1 score. Different problems, one throughline: make the thing work, then make it hold up.

// three threads

Engineer

GenAI platforms, Kubernetes and cloud-native infrastructure in production: 15+ products kept running, a 30% cloud cost reduction, reliability treated as a feature rather than an afterthought.

Educator

I design AI courses, scripts and instructional videos, and run DresDev, free, open live sessions on computing in Spanish, from the bits to cloud native.

Researcher

A Colombian Sign Language translation system at a 91.17% F1 score, trained on a corpus of 1,500+ videos I helped build. Published work on Google Scholar and ORCID.

// beyond the day job

I serve as the Alumni Representative on the Program Committee for Systems Engineering at the University of Antioquia, contributing to curriculum direction and academic strategy. Away from production systems, I like going down the stack: operating systems written from scratch, Rust, and the occasional detour into how computers really work.

I’m open to collaborations, workshops, research initiatives and technical advisory roles related to AI systems, cloud infrastructure and scalable software design, get in touch.
